Nothing to declare
PackPanic is a pile of static files that does its thinking inside your browser. There is no account, no database and no analytics, so most of this page is a list of things that don't happen. We wrote them down anyway, because "trust us" is not a privacy policy.
Everything a packing tool could plausibly know about you, declared line by line, with the honest verdict on each.
There is no sign-up, no login, no newsletter and no form that submits anywhere. We have nowhere to put these even if you offered.
NEVER COLLECTED
City, month, trip length, packing style, and whether you armed the WIISM protocol. All of it lives in the browser tab while you work. Close it or reload and it's gone. It never reaches a server of ours, because we don't run one.
STAYS ON DEVICE
The Trip Wizard stores last year's daily temperatures and rainfall for the coordinates you looked up, so switching months costs no network. It sits in your browser's local storage under keys starting wiism-climate-v1: and contains weather, not you.

The shareable pass image is drawn on your own device and handed straight to your downloads. It is never uploaded, never rendered on a server, never seen by us.

Unavoidable physics: to send you a page, a server has to know where to send it. Our host, Cloudflare, sees your IP address, browser, the page requested and the time, and keeps short-lived logs to deliver the site and block attacks. We never look at them and we never build profiles from them.
SEEN BY OUR HOST
A link like /wizard?city=Tokyo&month=10&days=7 carries the trip in the address itself. That's how it restores the numbers without a database. It also means the details ride along in the request, and in the chat where you pasted it. Trim the query string if you'd rather not share it.
IN THE URL
No Google Analytics. No advertising network. No tracking pixel, no heatmap, no session recording, no fingerprinting script, no A/B cookie. The count is not “low”. It is zero.
ZERO
Three companies, all of them infrastructure, none of them advertising. Their own policies govern what they do with a request once it reaches them.
Hosts and delivers the site. Handles TLS, caching and bot protection. It processes your request data as our infrastructure provider, and did not set a single cookie on the response we tested.

Baloo 2, Public Sans and Spline Sans Mono are fetched from Google's font servers, so your browser contacts Google to download them. Google receives the connection data any web request carries. No cookie is set by the font files.

The free weather API behind the climate numbers. When you type a city, that text goes to their geocoder; when you pick one, its coordinates go to their historical archive. We never ask your browser for GPS location, and nothing identifies you beyond the request itself.

One more, for completeness: both domains are registered with Google Search Console, which shows us anonymous, aggregated statistics about Google searches that surfaced the site. It runs no code here and can't see what you do once you arrive.
LOCAL STORAGE · SELF-SERVICE ERASURE
The only thing PackPanic leaves behind is that cached climate data, and it's on your device, not ours. This button removes it. There is no confirmation step and no undo, because there is nothing valuable in it. The wizard simply re-fetches next time.
Your browser's own "clear site data" control does the same job, and works even with JavaScript off.
Under the GDPR and similar laws you can ask a site what it holds about you and demand it back or gone. We hold no personal data about any visitor, so there is no record to send you and nothing for us to delete. The one item that exists is the local cache above, and only you can reach it.
Consent banners exist because sites store or read things on your device for their own purposes. PackPanic doesn't, so there's nothing to consent to and no banner to dismiss. If that ever changes, the banner arrives before the tracking does — not the other way round.
The site is aimed at adults packing suitcases, and it collects no personal data from anyone of any age. Nothing here is knowingly gathered from children.
If PackPanic ever gains accounts, analytics or anything that stores data about you, this page changes first and the date below changes with it. Last updated 23 July 2026.
