Cookie policy
This is the shortest section of PackPanic's paperwork. We don't set cookies — not for analytics, not for advertising, not for "personalisation". Rather than ask you to take our word for it, the scanner on this page reads your own browser and counts.

COOKIES SET BY WHATIFISHITMYSELF.COM
Reads document.cookie in your browser. It can only see this site's own cookies, which is exactly the set this policy is about.
What we'd have to tell you if we had any
A cookie policy normally lists every cookie, its purpose, who set it and how long it lasts, then asks for consent on anything that isn't strictly necessary. Our table would have no rows. That isn't modesty. It's the consequence of building the whole tool to run in your browser: with no accounts and no analytics, there is nothing worth remembering between page loads.
Local storage is not a cookie
Worth being precise, since both live on your device. The Trip Wizard keeps last year's daily weather for the coordinates you searched in your browser's local storage, under keys starting wiism-climate-v1:. Unlike a cookie it is never attached to a request, so it never travels to any server. It holds temperatures and rainfall, not you, and the wipe button on the privacy page removes it in one press.
EXCEPTION · SECURITY ONLY
The one asterisk
The site is served through Cloudflare. If their systems ever decide a request looks like an attack and issue a security check, Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary cookie of its own, typically __cf_bm or cf_clearance, to remember that the check was passed. It is a bouncer's hand stamp: it exists to keep the site up, carries no advertising or profiling purpose, and is exempt from consent requirements for that reason. In normal browsing you will never meet it, and the scanner above will tell you if you have.
PURPOSE: BOT MITIGATION · NOT USED FOR TRACKING
Blocking us anyway
Every browser can refuse cookies for a site, and every tracker blocker can be pointed at this one. Nothing on PackPanic breaks if you do: the wizard, the checklist, the airline rules and the boarding pass all work the same, because none of them ever depended on a cookie. Blocking local storage costs you exactly one thing: the climate cache, which means the wizard re-fetches the weather each visit.
